Q: Why the bearing clearance changes?
A: Generally, the clearance of the bearing becomes smaller after use, because the reduction in clearance due to the temperature difference between the inner ring and the outer ring after the bearing is generally greater than the increase in clearance caused by the load. However, if it is an angular contact ball bearing, it depends on the size of the preload of the bearing during installation. If the preload has already made the bearing's clearance to a negative value, the clearance will increase slightly in use. There are many factors that affect the change of bearing clearance, the above opinions are for reference only.
